Advent Calendar Door 12 - The Decorated House

December 12th

My twelfth Advent calendar door has now opened revealing this special village store.  I'll just knock on the door to see inside...
Afternoon tea is served and the Christmas tree has been decorated.  Everything is cosy and the presents are hidden away.

The dolls house was built, decorated and furnished by Mumsy and I just had to share a couple of photos of it (more will follow when the light is much better).  She reads my blog and I would love it if you left a comment to make her smile as she has worked so hard on this project.  She is the most lovely, generous and kind lady you would ever hope to meet.

Hopefully tomorrow the heavy fog that has surrounded us would have lifted and I will be able to capture some bright Christmas lights instead of fog lights!

Enjoy your day.

Advent Calendar Door 11 - Waiting to Sing

December 11th

My eleventh Advent calendar door has now opened revealing the choir stalls. So quiet, so serene, so patient.  Just waiting for the Carol Services to begin.  This was gentle respite from the chaos of rushed shoppers that surrounded me on my walk around Peterborough.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I'm afraid time is against me with the daily posts to reply back but I do appreciate and smile with every single one.  Don't forget to tick the box below to let me know that you are keeping with me on this journey.

Enjoy your day.

Advent Calendar Door 10 - The Wish Tree

December 10th

My tenth Advent calendar door has now opened revealing a wish tree. I was struck with this at the local garden centre where wishes were hung all around Santa.  The wishes are so many now that the surrounding trees are full of these thoughts and dreams blowing in the breeze.  Most are of the latest gadgets or 'must have' toys, one made me laugh when it was asking for his wife to give him a divorce, but one struck my heart.  It simply said "I wish to have a year cancer free".  My heart felt so much love for this person as I placed her wish back safely between the  branches.  I do sincerely hope she gets her wish.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I'm afraid time is against me with the daily posts to reply back but I do appreciate and smile with every single one.  Don't forget to tick the box below to let me know that you are keeping with me on this journey.

Enjoy your day.

Advent Calendar Door 9 - Sunshine and Holly

December 9th

So here we are in week two and my nineth Advent calendar door has now opened revealing some vibrant holly with it's beautiful red berries.  No snow to dust them today but instead they were bathed in sunlight.  During the hustle and bustle of this week it's nice to enjoy and drink in the different colours of nature.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I'm afraid time is against me with the daily posts to reply back but I do appreciate and smile with every single one.  Don't forget to tick the box below to let me know that you are keeping with me on this journey.

Enjoy your day.

Vicky's Christmas Ornament Exchange

I don't believe it, two posts in one day!  The Advent Calendar post for today is on the previous post for those who have been very kind in following these (I think the best and luckiest photo I have ever taken!).  However, I had to share with you the lovely Vicky's Ornament Exchange.  I received a beautiful package from Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose.
Her gifts were certainly enchanting and beautifully made.  This rosette was just gorgeous.
The centre piece finished it off perfectly, especially as I love a red and white combination.
What struck me most was that Stephanie had picked up that I love hearts and had made these for the back.
And then there was this delightful brooch.
Again, with the heart on the back.  This will be adorning my winter coat giving me a smile each time I wear it.
Then some wonderful gift tags.  I feel they may be just too good to use!
Such gorgeousness in one package and such talent from Stephanie!

Thank you to Vicky and to Stephanie.  If you haven't already visited, go along to view their beautiful blogs on the links above.  And, for those of you who are following the Advent calendar each day, once again, thank you for sticking with this and keeping me going!

Take care.
