Wow! Stunning shot. I noticed the moon here too last night and even commented on it to my son. I do love autumn and all the colours and fresh air it brings but not sure this year I am quite ready...
I remember looking up at a moon like that one night towards the end of harvest with Old Bert when we worked together on the farm. Bert looked up, scratched his head and commented, "It was a big bit the Americans brought back! Damn near half of it."
I always think that the nights start drawing in after mid-summer's day. On MSD we (up here in Fife) have nearly 20 hours of daylight. Today we'll have about 11 and by Dec 21st we'll be down to about 7 hours of daylight which is just pants! I don't like the darkness of the winter months. (Crumbs, don't I sound like a real grump! LOL)
Isn't autumn wonderful? I do love the temperatures and all the lovely things we do at home as winter approaches. There's nothing quite like coming back into the warm after a walk either, is there? Well done for the fabulous moon shot!
Wow - it almost does look like swiss cheese! I don't want the nights to draw in too quickly. Fall is such a perfect season for the short time it lasts here in Colorado.
WOW!!! You really nailed that shot Chel - it's fabulous! Happy autumn - my favorite time year! Off to France tonight - will wave to you as we change planes at Heathrow tomorrow morning! Hugs - Mary
Will there be a "Supermoon" in the UK this weekend? Apparently, here in the Toronto area, we'll see one heck of a moon on Saturday night. I wonder if I can get as lovely a picture as you?
Driving back from a late supper engagement, I noticed that the moon is very close right now. It's gorgeous. I love Autumn anyway, but this is just icing on the cake. Hope your evening is blessed. ~:)
Thank you so much for visiting, I love reading your comments and will answer either by email or on the blog. You can also email me privately in my side bar. Have a great day x
I'm Chel, a proud Londoner now living in Lincolnshire blogging about the everyday, no matter what the weather! I share my life with my two teens and our rescue dog Tia. I love photography, crafts, gardening, cooking and going on trips here and there (London especially!). Grab yourself a cup of tea and share with me my ramblings. As my Grandad used to say, "So, where shall we go on our journey today?" let's see...
Great picture to start the fall!

Fantastic picture. I do prefer the Spring equinox though. Days start to get lighter again....
