Capture and Share #9 - The Eyes of Autumn

I love collecting autumnal trinkets for the house.  These exquisite conkers will fill a glass vase to give a real rustic feel to the dining table.  Don't you think that the one still in its casing looks like a lizard's eye?

  1. I love conkers. We call them chestnuts over here in New England. I used to have a tree nearby and would collect them while I was walking of an afternoon. There are no trees near me now and I miss having a basket of conkers on the dining room table.

  3. So shouldn't you be stringing them and playing that good old English game called conkers with them

  4. Conkers always remind me of being a small boy...nostalgia's not what it used to be, though.
