December 1st
My first Advent calendar door has opened and I share with you my candle of expectation for the coming month. I don't know about you, but as soon as the Advent calendars start to open up then there is no longer any excuse to not decorate and prepare for the festive season. Are you ready for the 1001 jobs that have to be done starting with filling our homes with light to penetrate the early dark evenings? The first candle is lit and my heart is swelling with excitement and expectation for each precious day that these weeks will bring.

Wow, I love the idea of letting the light into our homes through Advent - we're going to a Festival of Light next weekend, and I think that light is a wonderful part of winter celebrations. Thanks so much for taking part in a Pause in Advent - you're in my sidebar now and I was chuffed to see that the Pause is in yours! Thanks and see you next Sunday!
ReplyDeleteIt's an exciting day today...as we begin our preparations.
ReplyDeleteHope your advent is filled with peace and joy.

I'm with you it's christmas preparations all the way over here.
ReplyDeleteI just began today to prep for Christmas: I spent the first day of Advent getting rid of all autumn decor to allow the Christmas decorating to begin during the week and next weekend!
ReplyDeleteDid all my decorating yesterday! (Pretty simple, but pretty, to me.) Enjoy this season!
ReplyDeleteHi Chel!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to meet you. You've made me want to walk to the grocery store and buy an Advent calendar (the kind the kids love, with the little doors!)
Sweet,Chel! May the Spirit of Christmas surround you everyday...God bless,
ReplyDeleteOh Chel! I read somewhere today that wonderful line 'Aslan is on the move!' And I was thrilled because I feel it is true - I am happy to be walking this journey with you and will seek out your link. xx
